Ground Training definition

Ground Training means all training courses performed in classrooms, full flight simulator sessions, field trips and any other Products and Services provided to the Customer on the ground, which are not Training Services on Aircraft.
Ground Training means all training and testing which is required by the 7 Company and which is conducted in a classroom or at any place which is not 8 usually associated with flight training, as described in the FAA-approved 9 Company Ground Training Program.
Ground Training means training that satisfies the Company’s requirements for FAA-approved Ground Training credit. GFS and CPT are considered Ground Training.

Examples of Ground Training in a sentence

  • A Pilot has attended Ground Training from Monday to Wednesday and completes the Ground Training on Wednesday.

  • A Pilot will not be assigned, without his consent, to a Checkride, recurrent flight training or recurrent Ground Training, nor will he be required to deadhead to or from these events, on the day before Thanksgiving Day or Thanksgiving Day.

  • Flight Crew Ground Training Course - Provide customized FAA approved operational courses, up to fifteen days in duration, for six of Buyer's Flight Crews.

  • In addition, any Pilot who is scheduled for time off prior to commencing the “Systems” portion of Ground Training may elect to pick up Trips during such time off.

  • Example 1: A Pilot has attended Ground Training for 5 days from Monday to Friday, and completed Ground Training on Friday.

  • A Pilot who enters Upgrade/Downgrade Training and who is scheduled for time off between Ground Training and flight training may elect to pick up Trips or reserve periods during such time off, provided that the Pilot is upgrading/downgrading in the aircraft he was flying immediately prior to entering training.

  • Bombardier shall, upon Buyer’s request, present a proposal to provide training materials used to conduct the Flight Crew Ground Training course.

  • If there are multiple Flight Attendants who begin Aircraft Transition Ground Training on the same date who were not awarded a Work Schedule or the bid period for the award has not yet commenced in the new aircraft fleet, then available 7 & 7 lines will be selected by such Flight Attendants in seniority order.


More Definitions of Ground Training

Ground Training means training other than Flight Training. Ground Training may include normal and abnormal systems operation, operational policy, general aeronautical subjects, and flight procedures.

  • Skills training means systematic skill building through curriculum-based psychoeducational and cognitive-behavioral interventions. These interventions break down complex objectives for role performance into simpler components, including basic cognitive skills such as attention, to facilitate learning and competency.

  • Travel training means providing instruction, as appropriate, to children with significant cognitive disabilities, and any other children with disabilities who require this instruction, to enable them to develop an awareness of the environment in which they live, and learn the skills necessary to move effectively and safely from place to place within that environment (e.g., in school, in the home, at work, and in the community).

  • Online Training means prerecorded training delivered virtually e.g. SAP e-learning.

  • Approved Training means training undertaken in a traineeship and shall involve formal instruction, both theoretical and practical, and supervised practice in accordance with a traineeship scheme approved by the relevant state training authority or NETTFORCE. The training will be accredited and lead to qualifications as set out in subclause 5(e).

  • Railroad train means a steam engine or an electric or other motor, with or without cars coupled thereto, operated by a railroad.
