Generic permit definition

Generic permit means a General permit issued by the Director covering numerous similar sources.
Generic permit means a general permit issued under the authority of section 403.0885, F.S., which may be issued by the Department to regulate a category of wastewater facilities or activities if they all: involve the same or substantially similar types of operations; discharge the same types of wastes or engage in the same types of residuals or industrial sludge use or disposal; require the same or similar monitoring; and are more appropriately controlled under a generic permit than an individual permit.
