For primary schools, a ten year period will be required reflecting the time period General Practitioner Register (GPR) information and current school roll information is available.

EXPLANATORY NOTE(This note is not part of the Order) This Order sets out the categories of registered medical practitioners, other than those who have been awarded a certificate of completion of training, who are eligible for entry in the General Practitioner Register and the Specialist Register kept by the General Medical Council.
Article 3(1) prescribes that the categories of registered medical practitioners are eligible for entry into the General Practitioner Register are both those set out in articles 4 and 5 and those who are on the list of visiting medical practitioners from the EU and are practising in this country as a general practitioner (article 3(1)(b)) on a temporary and occasional basis.
It may, under Regulation 21, result in the Medical Director varying the condition, imposing additional conditions or removing the performer from the list.In addition, any practitioner who has been approved before commencement is not required to be on the General Practitioner Register.
Chapter 2 of the White Paper included some of the important developments in thinking about how revalidation should operate that there have been since 2002 – in particular, that it should include ‘recertification’ of senior doctors (a process for determining whether or not they should remain on the General Practitioner Register or the Specialist Register, both of which are held by the GMC) and envisaging important roles in specialist recertification for the medical Royal Colleges.
To be eligible for appointment as the medical officer in regulation 3(2)(b) the person must be listed in the General Medical Council General Practitioner Register F27 or Specialist Register F28. F27 The General Practitioner Register is maintained by the General Medical Council under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice (Education, Training and Qualifications) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/1250).
