If a GRO determines the WPD has not shown that the criteria for inclusion in the Gang Database have been met, the Gang Intelligence Unit will purge the person’s status and other records pertaining to the person from the Gang Database.
The following guideline pertain only to grandfathered employees, specifically to those current police investigators (516) in the Detective Bureau as of January 1, 2021, including Police Investigators assigned to the Gang Intelligence Unit, Narcotics Unit and Vice Unit.
