Fuel gas system definition

Fuel gas system means the off-site and on-site piping and control system that gathers gaseous stream or streams generated by on-site operations, may blend them with other sources of gas, and transports the gaseous stream for use as fuel gas in combustion devices or in in-process combustion equipment, such as furnaces and gas turbines, either singly or in combination.
Fuel gas system means, for the purposes of this subarticle, any system that supplies natural gas as a fuel source to on-site natural gas powered equipment other than a vapor control device.
Fuel gas system means the off-site and on-site piping and flow and pressure control system that gathers gaseous stream(s) generated by on-site operations,

Examples of Fuel gas system in a sentence

More Definitions of Fuel gas system

Fuel gas system means the offsite and onsite piping and control system that gathers gaseous streams generated by refinery operations, may blend them with sources of gas, if available, and transports the blended gaseous fuel at suitable pressures for use as fuel in heaters, furnaces, boilers, incinerators, gas turbines, and other combustion devices located within or outside of the refinery. The fuel is piped directly to each individual combustion device, and the system typically operates at pressures over atmospheric. The gaseous streams can contain a mixture of methane, light hydrocarbons, hydrogen, and other miscellaneous species.
Fuel gas system means a system of compressors, piping, knock-out pots, mix drums, sulphur removal units and flaring units that collects fuel gas from one or more sources for treatment, and transports it to a stationary combustion unit.
Fuel gas system means any system in which gas generated by a petroleum refinery process unit is combusted, including any gaseous mixture of natural gas with such gas, and is not commercially sold.
Fuel gas system means any system that supplies natural gas as a fuel source to on-site natural gas actuated equipment other than a vapor control device.
Fuel gas system means components and equipment that collect and transfer natural gas to be used as a fuel source to on-site natural gas powered equipment other than a vapor control device.
Fuel gas system or “refinery fuel gas system” shall mean the piping and control system that gathers gaseous streams generated by the Whiting Refinery’s operations (including any that are blended with other sources of gas), and that are used as fuel in refinery heaters, furnaces, boilers, incinerators, gas turbines, and any other fuel gas combustion devices.
Fuel gas system means a system of compressors, piping, knock-out pots, mix drums, sulfur removal units (if necessary) and flaring units (if necessary) that collects fuel gas from one or more sources for treatment(if necessary), and transports it to a stationary combustion unit.
