FPU definition

FPU or “Finished Product Unit” means a copy of a Software Title in object code form that has passed Certification, has been affixed to a DVD disk and approved by Microsoft for release and manufacturing. Once the Packaging Materials have been added, and the BTS has been assigned or affixed to the FPU or its packaging, the FPU also includes its accompanying BTS and Packaging Materials.
