Formerly incarcerated definition

Formerly incarcerated means any individual who (i) was sentenced to a term of imprisonment, not including juvenile detention, after the disposition of one or more misdemeanor or felony charges; and (ii) has completed their sentence.

Examples of Formerly incarcerated in a sentence

  • Formerly incarcerated individuals seeking new opportunities for responsible citizenship and economic self−sufficiency are presented with employment opportunities leading to a career in weatherization and/or construction.

  • Formerly incarcerated people are permitted to use their PTO to attend parole hearings, meetings or other necessary appointments.
