Data storage equipment will be installed within new and existing co-location facilities as well as customer data centers. The data storage location is referred to as an S-POP. This document contains the physical site planning requirements and guidelines for the installation of data storage and associated electronic communications equipment and materials that will be installed, operated and maintained by StorageNetworks, Inc. personnel. It is intended solely to provide guidance for the co-location facility manager, the S-POP design engineers and construction contractors and the S-POP communications cabling planners.
