Food preparation establishment definition

Food preparation establishment means a Class III and IV food service establishment as defined by Section 19-13-B42 of the State of Connecticut Public Health Code or any other facility discharging fats, oil, and grease above the effluent limits in Section 5(c)(2) of this general permit such as but not limited to restaurants, hotel kitchens, hospital kitchens, school kitchens, bars, factory cafeterias, retail bakeries and clubs.
Food preparation establishment means a Class III and Class IV food service establishments or any other facility determined by the Authority to discharge FOG above the set limits in Section 5(b)(2) of the Department of Environmental Protection's General Permit for the Discharge of Wastewater Associated with Food Preparation Establishments. Such facilities shall include but not be limited to restaurants, hotel kitchens, hospital kitchens, school kitchens, bars, factory cafeterias, and clubs. Class III and Class IV food service establishments shall be as defined under Section 19-13-B42 of the State of Connecticut Public Health Code.
Food preparation establishment or “FPE” shall mean a Class III or IV food service establishment as defined by Section 19-13-B42 of the State of Connecticut Public Health Code or any other facility discharging fats, oil, and grease above the effluent limits in Section 5(c)(2) of the general permit issued by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection under the authority of Section 22a-430.n of the General Statutes and includes but is not limited to restaurants, hotel kitchens, hospital kitchens, school kitchens, bars, factory cafeterias, retail bakeries, and clubs. Class III and IV food service establishments both have on the premises foods that are prepared by hot processes for consumption by the public. In Class III FPEs, food is consumed within four (4) hours of preparation. In Class IV FPEs, food is held for more than four (4) hours prior to consumption.

Food preparation establishment means a business that is primarily engaged in providing food or food services at the locations of others based on contractual arrangements for a specified period of time.

  • Food establishment means an operation where food is processed, packed, canned, preserved, frozen, fabricated, stored, prepared, served, vended, sold, or offered for sale. Food establishment includes, but is not limited to, a food processor, a food warehouse, a food service establishment, a vending machine location, and a retail grocery. Food establishment does not include any of the following:

  • Cannabis establishment means a cannabis cultivator, a cannabis manufacturer, a cannabis wholesaler, or a cannabis retailer.

  • Retail food establishment means an operation that sells or offers to sell food directly to a consumer. Retail food establishment includes both a retail grocery and a food service establishment but does not include a food processing plant.

  • Food service establishment means a fixed or mobile restaurant, coffee shop, cafeteria, short order cafe, luncheonette, grill, tearoom, sandwich shop, soda fountain, tavern, bar, cocktail lounge, nightclub, drive-in, industrial feeding establishment, private organization serving the public, rental hall, catering kitchen, delicatessen, theater, commissary, food concession, or similar place in which food or drink is prepared for direct consumption through service on the premises or elsewhere, and any other eating or drinking establishment or operation where food is served or provided for the public. Food service establishment does not include any of the following:

  • Commercial establishment means a place of business which is at all times equipped with sufficient tables and seats to accommodate twenty-five persons at one time, and the licensed premises of which conform to the standards and specifications of the division.

  • Marijuana establishment means a marijuana cultivation facility, a marijuana testing facility, a marijuana product manufacturing facility, or a retail marijuana store.

  • Marihuana establishment means a marihuana grower, marihuana safety compliance facility, marihuana processor, marihuana microbusiness, marihuana retailer, marihuana secure transporter, or any other type of marihuana-related business licensed by the department.

  • main establishment means: (a) as regards a controller with establishments in more than one Member State, the place of its central administration in the Union, unless the decisions on the purposes and means of the processing of personal data are taken in another establishment of the controller in the Union and the latter establishment has the power to have such decisions implemented, in which case the establishment having taken such decisions is to be considered to be the main establishment; (b) as regards a processor with establishments in more than one Member State, the place of its central administration in the Union, or, if the processor has no central administration in the Union, the establishment of the processor in the Union where the main processing activities in the context of the activities of an establishment of the processor take place to the extent that the processor is subject to specific obligations under this Regulation;

  • Retail establishment means any business facility that sells goods directly to the consumer whether for or not for profit, including, but not limited to, retail stores, restaurants, pharmacies, convenience and grocery stores, liquor stores, seasonal and temporary businesses.

  • Lodging establishment means any of the following:

  • Temporary food establishment means a food establishment that operates for a period of no more than fourteen consecutive days in conjunction with a single event or celebration.

  • Temporary food service establishment means a food service establishment that operates at a fixed location for a period of time of not more than 14 consecutive days in conjunction with a single event or celebration.

  • catering establishment means a restaurant, canteen, club, public house, school, hospital or similar establishment (including a vehicle or a fixed or mobile stall) where, in the course of a business, food is prepared for delivery to the ultimate consumer and is ready for consumption without further preparation;

  • educational establishment means any school, college or other educational body designated by the Minister by order either specifically or by reference to a class, for the purposes of this Act;

  • fixed establishment means a place (other than the registered place of business) which is characterised by a sufficient degree of permanence and suitable structure in terms of human and technical resources to supply services, or to receive and use services for its own needs;

  • Establishment means a single physical location where business is conducted or where services or industrial operations are performed. (For example: A factory, mill, store, hotel, restaurant, movie theatre, farm, ranch, bank, sales office, warehouse, central administrative office or governmental agency or subdivision thereof.) Where distinctly separate activities are performed at a single physical location (such as contract construction activities from the same physical location as a lumber yard), each activity shall be treated as a separate physical establishment, and a separate notice or notices shall be posted in each such establishment, to the extent that such notices have been furnished by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, or the division of labor services. Where employers are engaged in activities which are physically dispersed, such as agriculture, construction, transportation, communications and electric, gas and sanitary services, the notice or notices required by this rule shall be posted at the location to which employees report each day. Where employees do not usually work at, or report to, a single establishment, such as harbor workers, traveling salespersons, technicians, engineers, and similar personnel, such notice or notices shall be posted at the location from which the employees operate to carry out their activities. In all cases, such notice or notices shall be posted in accordance with the requirements of subrule 3.1(1).

  • Massage establishment means a place of business where massage is being conducted.

  • Merchant Establishment means any company, establishment, firm or person, wherever located and in whatever form (including the Internet), which is designated as a MasterCard/VISA merchant and/or with whom there is an arrangement for a Cardholder to obtain goods, services or cash advances by use of the Card or Card number and includes any establishment displaying the MASTERCARD/VISA symbol which appears on the face of the Card.

  • Adult entertainment establishment means any of the following:
