Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU) definition

Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU) means replacement Product, parts, sub-assemblies, circuit cards, modules and other electronic and mechanical assemblies that may be replaced at an end-user location.
Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU) means a product assembly or subassembly - identifiable by the Part numbering labelling - that can reasonably be removed from service and/or installed as a separate item with the use of standard tools and/or methods.
Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU) means parts and subassemblies that must be removed and replaced only by an NEC authorized service representative.
