Fee or surcharge definition

Fee or surcharge means an additional charge appearing on the customer’s bill separate from the rates and charges for a service or product. These charges may be specifically authorized by a regulatory or legislative body, or in other instances, may be initiated by a LEC or other carrier.

  • Surcharge has the meaning set forth in Section 8(b)(i).

  • Connection Fee means a fee charged by a local entity to pay for the costs of

  • concessionary payment means a payment made under arrangements made by the Secretary of State with the consent of the Treasury which is charged either to the National Insurance Fund or to a Departmental Expenditure Vote to which payments of benefit or tax credits under the benefit Acts or the Tax Credits Act 2002 are charged;

  • Fee means the total fee or any component of the total fee calculated under section 4 of the FOIA, including any deposit.

  • Basic Costs means all direct and indirect costs and expenses incurred in connection with the Building as more fully defined in Exhibit C attached hereto.

  • Premium surcharge means a payment required from a subscriber, in addition to the subscriber's medical premium contribution, due to an enrollee's tobacco use or an enrolled subscriber's spouse or state registered domestic partner choosing not to enroll in their employer- based group medical when:

  • Late Payment Surcharge shall have the meaning ascribed thereto in Article 10.3.3 of this Agreement;

  • Incremental property taxes means the taxes as provided in Iowa Code sections 403.19 and 260E.4. “Industry” means a business engaged in interstate or intrastate commerce for the purpose of manufacturing, processing, or assembling products, conducting research and development, or providing services in interstate commerce, but excludes retail, health, or professional services. An industry is a business engaged in activities described as eligible in the Act rather than the generic definition encompassing all businesses in the state doing the same activities. An industry is considered to be a single, corporate entity or operating subdivision. An industry which closes or substantially reduces its operation in one area of the state of Iowa and relocates substantially the same operation in another area of the state is not eligible for a project. This definition does not prohibit a business from expanding its operations in another area of the state provided that existing operations of a similar nature are not

  • Base Taxes means the Taxes payable for the Base Tax Year.

  • Annual Fixed Rent See Exhibit A, and Section 3.1.

  • Response Costs means all costs, including, but not limited to, direct and indirect costs, that the United States incurs in monitoring and supervising Respondents’ performance of the Work to determine whether such performance is consistent with the requirements of this Order, including costs incurred in reviewing deliverables submitted pursuant to this Order, as well as costs incurred in overseeing implementation of this Order, including, but not limited to, payroll costs, contractor costs, travel costs, and laboratory costs.]

  • Interim Response Costs means all costs, including but not limited to direct and indirect costs, (a) paid by the United States in connection with the Site between [insert date identified in Past Response Costs definition] and the Effective Date, or (b) incurred prior to the Effective Date, but paid after that date.]

  • reduction week means a period of seven consecutive days beginning with a Monday and ending with a Sunday;

  • Property tax increment means the amount obtained by:

  • unlawful activity means activities that violate the laws of this state, including but not limited to any activity that violates a state criminal statute.

  • Transfer Premium shall also include, but not be limited to, key money, bonus money or other cash consideration paid by Transferee to Tenant in connection with such Transfer, and any payment in excess of fair market value for services rendered by Tenant to Transferee or for assets, fixtures, inventory, equipment, or furniture transferred by Tenant to Transferee in connection with such Transfer. The determination of the amount of Landlord’s applicable share of the Transfer Premium shall be made on a monthly basis as rent or other consideration is received by Tenant under the Transfer.

  • Prime costs and “Prime cost sum” means the amount actually paid by the contractor for any article, commodity or special work and shall include all proper charges for packing, carriage and delivery to site, after deduction of all trade documents, rebates and allowances and the discount obtainable for cash insofar as such discount for cash exceeds 2½%.

  • Fixed Rent shall have the meaning set forth in Section 1.1 hereof.

  • Service Costs has the meaning ascribed thereto in Section 3.01.

  • Construction Fee means a fee or other remuneration for acting as general contractor and/or construction manager to construct improvements, supervise and coordinate projects or provide major repairs or rehabilitations on a Property.

  • Sales Costs means all costs, direct and indirect, associated with a foreclosure sale by the City, including but not limited to: county recording fees, title reports or other means of identifying persons with interest in the property, title insurance, service and notification, publication and advertising, posting, sale, and staff salaries, including benefits and overhead.

  • Sublease Payment means any payment required to be made by the District pursuant to Section 7 of the Sublease.

  • Additional Costs has the meaning given that term in Section 4.1.

  • Connection Charge is the sum payable by the Communications Provider in accordance with the Openreach Price List for provisioning of the Service;

  • Maintenance Costs means parts and materials, sublet and labour costs of a qualified licensed mechanic for the maintenance of the Revenue Service Vehicles, but shall not include costs associated with interior and exterior transit advertising signs and non-mechanical servicing of Revenue Service Vehicles such as fuelling, clearing fareboxes, cleaning and painting wheel rims, vehicle washing and other work performed by a serviceman; and,

  • Additional Fees means those prices for the Additional Goods/Services and additional costs and levies required from time to time and notified to you in advance, to provide adequately for the education and related activities and services provided to your Child, including the costs of extra-curricular activities or special educational needs;
