Extrusion definition

Extrusion means an alloy product formed by pushing material through a horizontal die so as to create a generally linear or curved product having a uniform cross-section along a dimension (length) in the direction in which the material is pushed through the die that is significantly greater than a dimension (width/height) defined by the die through which the material is pushed.
