External Candidates definition

External Candidates shall refer either to Members who have not successfully completed the probationary period or any other applicants for courses, including members of other bargaining units.
External Candidates means candidates who in their capacity as individual students sit for the examination held usually in the month of November and December leading to the award of Senior Secondary School Certificates;

Examples of External Candidates in a sentence

  • External candidates will not be interviewed until Academic Professionals who have applied for the position within the required period of time have had a reasonable opportunity to be interviewed for the position.

  • External candidates shall only be considered when there are no internal candidates qualified for the posted position.

  • External candidates will be considered for interview upon the screening of their applications and passing the district employment examination.

  • External candidates will only be considered once the sequence identified in this Article has been exhausted and all eligible internal candidates have refused the work.

  • External candidates will not be appointed to regular full-time permanent positions until internal applicants have been given full and fair consideration and any equipment testing that may be necessary.

  • External candidates must be a graduate of a grade twelve (12) Secondary School or Technical High School or its equivalent.

  • External candidates may be screened for additional highly desired criteria.

  • External candidates may be hired for a vacancy only if more qualified than internal candidates.

  • External candidates, including displaced non-contract per- sonnel.

  • External candidates may be considered at the same time as current employee applicants.
