Executive Benefit Service definition

Executive Benefit Service means the Executive’s total years of Eligibility Service if: (i) the Executive was making the Maximum Contribution during each of those years; or (ii) the Executive (1) was making the Maximum Contribution during each of those years after the date he or she first became an Executive, and (2) has complied with the provisions of the Executive Buy Back process (as set forth in Appendix A of the Plan) as to those years prior to his or her first becoming an Executive. The Executive Benefit Service of an Executive who did not make the Maximum Contribution during those years prior to the date he or she first became an Executive and has not complied with the Executive Buy Back process will be based solely on the period(s) of Eligibility Service during which he or she made the Maximum Contribution. An Executive will not be credited with any additional Executive Benefit Service on or after the date his or her Executive Pension Supplement is frozen pursuant to Section 3(a).

Examples of Executive Benefit Service in a sentence

  • He or she will continue to earn Vesting Service (for purposes of the Plan other than Executive Benefit Service) for periods of employment with the Affiliated Company.

  • He or she will immediately cease to accrue Executive Benefit Service.

  • For purposes of this five-year requirement (but not for purposes of determining Executive Benefit Service under Section 6.05), the General Manager of ES and the Vice President of Human Resources for ES may determine that one or more years of an Employee’s service with an Affiliated Company prior to the Employee’s transfer to ES shall be counted as having been in an Executive position.

  • The Executive Buy Back process permits newly eligible Executives to “buy back” past years of Executive Benefit Service under the Plan for periods of time during which they did not make the Maximum Contribution.

  • The Executive Benefit Service of an Executive who did not make the Maximum Contribution during those years prior to the date he or she first became an Executive and has not complied with the Executive Buy Back process will be based solely on the period(s) of Eligibility Service during which he or she made the Maximum Contribution.

Related to Executive Benefit Service

  • Disability benefit recipient means a member who is receiving a disability benefit.

  • Annual Benefit means an annual sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) multiplied by the Applicable Percentage (defined below) and then reduced to the extent required: (i) under the other provisions of this Agreement; (ii) by reason of the lawful order of any regulatory agency or body having jurisdiction over the Employer; and (iii) in order for the Employer to properly comply with any and all applicable state and federal laws, including, but not limited to, income, employment and disability income tax laws (eg., FICA, FUTA, SDI).

  • Accrued Benefit means the amount standing in a Participant's Account(s) as of any date derived from both Employer contributions and Employee contributions, if any.

  • Termination Compensation means a monthly cash amount equal to one-twelfth ( 1/12th) of the highest amount of the annual cash compensation (including cash bonuses and other cash-based compensation, including for these purposes amounts earned or payable whether or not deferred) received by Executive during any one of the three (3) calendar years immediately preceding the calendar year in which Executive’s Termination Date occurs; provided, that if the cash compensation received by Executive during the Termination Year exceeds the highest amount of the annual cash compensation received by Executive during any one of the immediately preceding three (3) consecutive calendar years, the cash compensation received by Executive during the Termination Year shall be deemed to be Executive’s highest amount of annual cash compensation. In no event shall Executive’s Termination Compensation include equity-based compensation (e.g., income realized as a result of Executive’s exercise of non-qualified stock options or other stock based benefits).

  • Annual Benefit Limit means the maximum amount of benefits paid by the Company to the Policy Holder in a Policy Year irrespective of whether any limits of any benefit items stated in the Benefit Schedule have been reached. The Annual Benefit Limit is counted afresh in a new Policy Year.

  • Pharmacy benefit manager means a person, business or other

  • Plan Benefit means the benefit payable to a Participant as calculated in Article V.

  • 414(s) Compensation means any definition of compensation that satisfies the nondiscrimination requirements of Code Section 414(s) and the Regulations thereunder. The period for determining 414(s) Compensation must be either the Plan Year or the calendar year ending with or within the Plan Year. An Employer may further limit the period taken into account to that part of the Plan Year or calendar year in which an Employee was a Participant in the component of the Plan being tested. The period used to determine 414(s) Compensation must be applied uniformly to all Participants for the Plan Year.

  • Annual Earnings means your gross annual income from your Employer, not including shift differential, in effect just prior to the date of loss. It includes your total income before taxes. It is prior to any deductions made for pre-tax contributions to a qualified deferred compensation plan, Section 125 plan or flexible spending account. It does not include income received from commissions, bonuses, overtime pay or any other extra compensation or income received from sources other than your Employer.

  • Regular benefits ’ means benefits payable to an individual under this act or under any other state law, including benefits payable to federal civilian employees and to ex-servicemen pursuant to 5 U.S.C. chapter 85, other than extended benefits.

  • Retirement Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 5.

  • Disability Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 8.

  • Retirement Benefits means benefits paid by reference to reaching, or the expectation of reaching, retirement or, where they are supplementary to those benefits and provided on an ancillary basis, in the form of payments on death, disability, or cessation of employment or in the form of support payments or services in case of sickness, indigence or death. In order to facilitate financial security in retirement, these benefits may take the form of payments for life, payments made for a temporary period, a lump sum, or any combination thereof;

  • Earned Compensation means any Annual Base Salary earned, but unpaid, for services rendered to the Company on or prior to the date on which the Employment Period ends pursuant to Section 3(a) (but excluding any salary and interest accrued thereon payment of which has been deferred).

  • Benefit Period means the period of time from the date of the Accident causing the Injury for which benefits are payable, as shown in the Schedule of Benefits, and the date after which no further benefits will be paid.

  • Annual Compensation means an amount equal to the greater of:

  • Vesting Service of an employee means the period or periods of service credited to him under the provisions of Article II for purposes of determining his vested interest in his Employer Contributions Sub-Account, if Employer Contributions are provided for under either Article VI or Article XXII.

  • Years of Service means the total number of full years in which a Participant has been employed by one or more Employers. For purposes of this definition, a year of employment shall be a 365 day period (or 366 day period in the case of a leap year) that, for the first year of employment, commences on the Employee's date of hiring and that, for any subsequent year, commences on an anniversary of that hiring date. Any partial year of employment shall not be counted.

  • Benefit Continuation Period means the period beginning on the Date of Termination and ending on the last day of the month in which occurs the earlier of (i) the 24-month anniversary of the Date of Termination and (ii) the date on which you elect coverage for you and your covered dependents under substantially comparable benefit plans of a subsequent employer.

  • Lifetime Benefit Limit means the maximum amount of benefits paid by the Company to the Policy Holder cumulatively since the inception of these Terms and Benefits, irrespective whether any limits of any benefit items stated in the Benefit Schedule have been reached or whether the Annual Benefit Limit in a Policy Year has been reached.

  • Service benefit means the credit toward retirement benefits as determined by the

  • Medical Benefits Schedule means the Medicare Schedule of Benefits produced by the Department of Health to which all fees and benefits relate for inpatient hospital services.

  • Pharmacy benefits manager means a person that performs pharmacy benefits management.

  • Normal Retirement Benefit means the benefit described in Section 2.1.

  • Public benefit means making capital available, or facilitating the availability of capital, to businesses in this state that have 750 or fewer employees, the intent of which is to create or retain employment opportunities for residents of this state, stabilize or increase the tax base of this state, or support the redevelopment of facilities for use by small businesses.
