Estimated Total Water Use. (ETWU) means the total water used for the landscape as described in Section 492.4.

Estimated Total Water Use means the annual total amount of water estimated to be needed to keep the plants in the landscaped area healthy. It is based upon such factors as the local evapotranspiration rate, the size of the landscaped area, the types of plants and the efficiency of the irrigation system.

Examples of Estimated Total Water Use in a sentence

  • For implementation of the irrigation schedule, particular attention must be paid to irrigation run times, emission device, flow rate, and current reference evapotranspiration, so that applied water meets the Estimated Total Water Use.
