Emergency Meeting definition

Emergency Meeting means any meeting called by a governing body for the purpose of addressing an unexpected event which requires immediate attention because it poses:

Emergency Meeting means a meeting of Council held to consider any business of the Council which is determined by the Chair to be for an emergency and shall be limited to a matter considered to be of an urgent nature, or which would affect the health or well-being of the residents of the Town, or if so advised by a Provincial Ministry.

Emergency Meeting means a meeting of Council held to consider any business of the Council which is deemed by the Chair to be of an emergency situation;

Examples of Emergency Meeting in a sentence

• The Board may not take action on any item of business, as so defined, outside of a meeting, as so defined and use of a series of electronic transmissions (including emails) to conduct a meeting is not permitted except as a means of conducting an Emergency Meeting as defined in Section 8.05(e), above, if all members of the Board individually or collectively consent in writing to that form of Emergency Meeting.

• Except as provided in subparagraphs (i) through (iv) of this subparagraph (c) or subparagraph (d), below, the Board of Directors may not discuss or take action on any item at a non- Emergency Meeting of the Board unless the item was placed on the agenda that was included inthe notice given to the Members.

• Written consent to conduct an Emergency Meeting may be transmitted electronically by the directors.

• A Special Meeting or Emergency Meeting shall be held at any time called by the Chair or by a majority of Trustees.

• Notice of Emergency Meeting shall be given to each Trustee in a reasonable timeframe under the circumstances.

More Definitions of Emergency Meeting

Emergency Meeting means a meeting of Council called to address any matter which cannot be administered or resolved in accordance with these Bylaws and/or matters which must be addressed prior to the next regularly scheduled meeting of Council in order to maintain compliance the PGA or maintain the regular operations of BCIA;

Emergency Meeting means any meeting called for the purpose of dealing with an emergency. For purposes of this act, an emergency is defined as a situation involving injury to persons or injury and damage to public or personal property or immediate financial loss when the time requirements for public notice of a special meeting would make such procedure impractical and increase the likelihood of injury or damage or immediate financial loss.

Emergency Meeting means a meeting of the Trustees or of a committee of the Trustees (a) called by the Chairman, if any, the President, the Secretary, an Assistant Secretary or any two Trustees, (b) the notice of which is given or confirmed in writing and specifies that the meeting is an "Emergency Meeting" and (c) except as provided in clauses (a) and (b) of this definition, held in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 2.5 hereof.

Emergency Meeting means a meeting convened pursuant to Section 4.05 of this by-law for local state of emergency or public safety matters;

Emergency Meeting means a meeting called under Section 240 (a) or (b) of the Act to deal with an emergency or urgent situation where timing requires that a matter be addressed as soon as possible.
