Emergency medical. Technology has been erroneously coded as TOP Code 1251 (Paramedic). The TOP Code should be 1250 (Emergency Medical Technology) and we tried to change in the new application. In responding to 1251 (Paramedic), we assume that the core indicators are reflecting our EMT program, however, all the courses are coded with TOP Code 1250. The core indicators are below state levels in completion, persistence and employment. This program consists of two courses that are completed within the same semester, so persistence from one semester to another is not relevant. Previously, completion rates for this program were not tracked as they were a local certificate. This has been corrected and is showing improvement at the college level. The Job Development specialist position was filled in Fall 2013 to assist in improving job placements.
