Examples of Eligible Community Service Activity in a sentence
A Staff Member who engages in an Eligible Community Service Activity is entitled to leave on Full Pay for a reasonable period consisting of one or more of the following: time when the Staff Member engages in the activity; travelling time associated with the activity; rest time immediately following the activity.
An Employee is entitled to be absent from their employment: • for the time that the Employee is engaged in the Eligible Community Service Activity, including reasonable travelling time associated with the activity, and reasonable rest time immediately following the activity; and • if the absence is reasonable in all the circumstances (jury service is taken to always be reasonable).
The Entitlement to be absent from employment for engaging in Eligible Community Service Activity is in accordance with the National Employment Standards (NES).
