Educational Intervention definition

Educational Intervention means specific action taken by the Contractor to address a Young Person's needs which results in the Young Person's improved attainment, engagement or attendance in education;
Educational Intervention has the meaning given to it in Schedule 1 (Authority's Requirements);

  • Additionally, every classroom teacher shall have the right to exercise a Removal for Educational Intervention (REI) and send a student out of that particular instructional period (secondary/departmentalized instructional period) for up to five (5) days or, if self-contained, out of that particular classroom for up to two (2) days, if the student is consistently or flagrantly disruptive or disrespectful.
