Any person having reasonable cause to believe that a student has been subjected to child abuse or neglect must immediately report the matter to DYFS by telephone or otherwise, pursuant to N.J.S.A.9:6-8.10 and N.J.A.C. 6A:16-11.1(a)2.
While DYFS allows anonymous child abuse reporting for the general public, school staff may not be entitled to anonymity for these reports.
