Duty Pilot definition

Duty Pilot means the Licensed Pilot who is responsible for managing the day to day operations and assignments of the Marine Pilot group. Essentially the Duty Pilot mans the station from 0700 – 1800 hours and is the last Marine Pilot called out for pilotage. Outside these hours the Duty Pilot is rotated as required. All Marine Pilots rotate through this position as per the roster. There shall be a nominated Duty Pilot at all times as indicated on the “Pilot Allocation spreadsheet”. The duties of the Duty Pilot are described in the PSMS Part 9 – Pilot Station Operations. Eligible Marine Pilot means a Marine Pilot holding an Unlimited Pilot Licence. Full Pay for the purpose of annual and long service leave means that amount specified as the salary of the Marine Pilot in clause 3.1.3 of this Agreement including any additional allowances to which the Marine Pilot may otherwise be entitled including Shift Roster Allowance and Utility Allowances. FWC means Fair Work Commission.

Examples of Duty Pilot in a sentence

  • In the event that a Crew Member’s bag is misplaced or lost while on a Trip Pairing through no fault of the Crew Member, the Crew Member may, if authorized by a Duty Pilot, use the Company credit card to purchase personal items necessary to complete the Trip Pairing.

  • This will normally be done by the CFI or Duty Pilot of the Gliding club wishing to use the airspace.

  • A.5.2 In the event that it is not possible to vacate the airspace in the time required by ATC, the Scottish Control (Prestwick) Operations Supervisor may request position and level information from the Duty Pilot or Instructor to enable essential traffic information to be passed to both parties.

  • The Duty Pilot of Challow Paramotor Club is to contact the Fairford Co-ordinator at ATC BZN prior to the commencement of flying activities and at the end of activities.

  • If the DATCO considers that response to wildlife hazard on the aerodrome might be compromised, or if wildlife hazards are exacerbated, he should inform the 6FTS Duty Pilot (DP) and any Ac Cdrs in the vicinity of the aerodrome who may be directly affected by a wildlife hazard.
