Ped means a unit of soil structure, such as an aggregate, crumb, prism, block, or granule formed by natural processes.
Moped means every vehicle that travels on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground
Junk means old or scrap copper, brass, rope, rags, batteries, paper, trash, rubber debris, waste, or junked, dismantled or wrecked automobiles, or parts of automobiles, iron, steel and other old or scrap ferrous or nonferrous material.
Infiltration means water other than wastewater that enters a sewer system (including sewer system and foundation drains) from the ground through such means as defective pipes, pipe joints, connections, or manholes. Infiltration does not include, and is distinguished from, inflow.
Wax means a material or synthetic thermoplastic substance generally of high molecular weight hydrocarbons or high molecular weight esters of fatty acids or alcohols, except glycerol and high polymers (plastics). “Wax” includes, but is not limited to, substances derived from the secretions of plants and animals such as carnuba wax and beeswax, substances of a mineral origin such as ozocerite and paraffin, and synthetic polymers such as polyethylene.
Runway means a defined rectangular area on a land aerodrome prepared for the landing and take-off of aircraft;
Altitude means the vertical distance of a level, a point or an object considered as a point, measured from mean sea level (MSL);
Dike means an embankment or ridge of either natural or man-made materials used to prevent the movement of liquids, sludges, solids, or other materials.
Diameter means the diameter of the stem of a tree measured outside the bark at a specified point of measurement.
Dusting aid means a product designed or labeled to assist in removing dust and other soils from floors and other surfaces without leaving a wax or silicone based coating. “Dusting Aid” does not include “Pressurized Gas Duster.”
Psig means pounds per square inch gauge.
Walked means when an Attendee with a confirmed reservation is denied a room for any reason.
Concealed means hidden from sight as in chases, furred spaces, shafts, hung ceilings, or embedded in construction.
Drop means the cable that connects the ground block on the Subscriber's residence to the nearest feeder cable of the System.
Disinfectant means any oxidant, including but not limited to chlorine, chlorine dioxide, chloramines, and ozone added to water in any part of the treatment or distribution process, that is intended to kill or inactivate pathogenic microorganisms.
Permeable pavement means paving material that absorbs water or allows water to infiltrate through the paving material. "Permeable pavement" materials include porous concrete, permeable interlocking concrete pavers, concrete grid pavers, porous asphalt, and any other material with similar characteristics.
Bulkhead means an airtight structure separating the working chamber from free air or from another chamber under a lower pressure than the working pressure;
Smoking means inhaling, exhaling, burning, or carrying any lighted or heated cigar, cigarette, pipe, hookah, or any other lighted or heated tobacco or plant product intended for inhalation, including marijuana, whether natural or synthetic, in any manner or in any form. “Smoking” also includes the use of an electronic smoking device which creates an aerosol or vapor, in any manner or in any form, or the use of any oral smoking device for the purpose of circumventing the prohibition of smoking in this Article.
Silt means soil material that contains 80 percent or more silt and less than 12 percent clay.
Sidelights means a green light on the starboard side and a red light on the port side each showing an unbroken light over an arc of the horizon of 112.5 degrees and so fixed as to show the light from right ahead to 22.5 degrees abaft the beam on its respective side. In a vessel of less than 20 metres in length the sidelights may be combined in one lantern carried on the fore and aft centreline of the vessel.
Deck means a walkway immediately adjacent to a swimming pool.
Fire wall means a wall of brick or reinforced concrete having adequate fire resistance and structural stability under fire conditions to accomplish the purpose of completely subdividing a build- ing or of completely separating adjoining building to resist the spread of fire. A fire wall shall extend continuously through all stories from foundation to or above the roof.
Stable means that a rating is not likely to change
Flue means a passage for conveying the products of combustion from a gas appliance to the external air.
Bridged Tap" means the unused sections of a twisted pair subtending the Loop between the End User Customer and the Serving Wire Center or extending beyond the End User Customer's location. "Business Line" means a Qwest-owned switched access line used to serve a business customer, whether by Qwest itself or by CLEC that leases the line from Qwest. The number of Business Lines in a Wire Center shall equal the sum of all Qwest business switched access lines, plus the sum of all UNE loops connected to that Wire Center, including UNE loops provisioned in combination with other unbundled elements. Among these requirements, Business Line tallies (1) shall include only those access lines connecting End User Customers with Qwest end-offices for switched services; (2) shall not include non-switched special access lines; and (3) shall account for ISDN and other digital access lines by counting each 64 kbps- equivalent as one line. For example, a DS1 line corresponds to twenty-four (24) 64 kbps- equivalents, and therefore to twenty-four (24) Business Lines. "Busy Line Verify/Busy Line Interrupt" or "BLV/BLI Traffic" means a call to an operator service in which the caller inquires as to the busy status of or requests an interruption of a call on another End User Customer's Basic Exchange Telecommunications Service line.
Pavement means any type of improved surface that is within the public right-of-way and that is paved or otherwise constructed with bituminous, concrete, aggregate, or gravel.
