Diversion rate definition

Diversion rate means the total amount (reflected as a percentage) of a material, diverted from disposal through waste prevention, recycling, or reuse.
Diversion rate means a measure of the amount of recyclables diverted for recycling compared with the total amount that was previously landfilled.
Diversion rate means a measure of the amount of waste materials being diverted for recycling compared with the total amount that would otherwise be thrown away.

Diversion rate means the number of tons of Recyclable Materials reported in any Fiscal Year to the City by Contractor and other entities providing Recycling services in the City divided by the sum of (i) number of tons disposed of at the NTMWD disposal facilities and other disposal facilities that may be used by Contractor, other entities and/or City from time to time disposing of Solid Waste originating in the City and (ii) number of tons of Recyclable Materials reported to the City by Contractor and other entities providing Recycling services in the City, all multiplied by 100.
Diversion rate means the quantity of household packaging and paper products diverted from landfills calculated as the sum of household packaging and paper products recycled and recovered for energy and expressed as a percentage of household packaging and paper products supplied to the market;
