Disaster Service Worker definition

Disaster Service Worker means any County employee performing any Disaster Service Activity as may be assigned to them by their superiors or by law, whether assigned normal job duties or disaster service-specific location(s), as set forth in Government Code Sections 3100-3109 and Labor Code Sections 3211.92-3211.93.
Disaster Service Worker means any designated disaster service worker which includes public employees and any unregistered person pressed into service during a local emergency, state of emergency and/or State of War emergency, by a person having authority to command the aid of citizens in the execution of his duties. It does not include any member registered as an active firefighting member of any regularly organized volunteer fire department, having official recognition, and full or partial support of the county, city, town or district in which such fire department is located.
Disaster Service Worker means all public employees and all volunteers in any disaster council or emergency organization accredited by the California Emergency Council. The term "public employees" includes all persons employed by the state or any county, city, city and county, state agency or public district, excluding aliens legally employed (Government Code §3101).

Disaster Service Worker means all persons employed by the Tribe or its businesses or entities and who are obligated to serve as Disaster Service Workers (DSWs). As DSWs, employees may be assigned to perform activities which promote the protection of public health and safety or the preservation of lives and property. DSWs provide services and aid during a declared emergency, disaster or catastrophic event. At any time during a tribally declared emergency, disaster, or catastrophic event, tribal employees may be required to report to work and to be assigned to disaster service work. A DSW may be assigned to locations and duties outside of their normal job responsibilities. All employees assigned to work as DSWs shall be paid at an hourly rate, including overtime.
