Direct Lineal Descendants definition

Direct Lineal Descendants means children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on, by natural birth or legal adoption including any illegitimate child (if acknowledged by the child's parent) and any of the direct lineal descendants of any of the foregoing.
Direct Lineal Descendants means the biological children of parents and their biological descendants, and does not mean collateral relatives who are descended from the same ancestor but not from one another. For example, direct lineal descendants do not include aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, cousins, or other indirect relationships. The term “direct lineal descendants” does not require an unbroken line of membership in the Tribe.
Direct Lineal Descendants means the direct lineal descendants of the Controlling Families and spouses of such direct lineal descendants, together with the parents of the members of the Controlling Families;

  • Descendant of an individual means all of the individual's descendants of all generations, with the relationship of parent and child at each generation being determined by the definition of child and parent contained in this section.

  • Siblings means brothers or sisters. They are defined as children with at least one natural or adoptive parent in common, living at the same or a different address. Children living permanently in the same household at the same address would also be counted as siblings, regardless of their actual relationship to each other. To qualify as a sibling a child must be on the roll of the school in question at the date of application, allocation and admission.

  • Child or Children means a child or children unmarried

  • Children means all dependants named on a policy (not including spouse).

  • Child/Children means persons who are of an age of two years and above but who are less than 12 years of age;

  • wife shall be known as a "Spouse," and when mentioned together, the Husband and Wife shall be known as the "Couple."

  • Relatives means a person, as defined in Section 2(77) of the Companies Act, 2013 and any amendments thereto.

  • Marriage and family therapist means a marriage and family therapist licensed by the board to practice marriage and family therapy as defined in division (G) of section 4757.01 of the Revised Code.

  • Grandchild means a child of the employee's child.

  • Sibling means each of two (2) or more children having a parent in common by blood, adoption, marriage, or foster care.

  • Young adult means a person aged 18 through 20 years.

  • Marriage and family therapy means the assessment and treatment of mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective, or behavioral, within the context of marriage and family systems. Marriage and family therapy involves the application of psycho‑therapeutic and family systems theories and techniques in the delivery of services to individuals, couples, and families for the purpose of treating diagnosed emotional, mental, behavioral, or addictive disorders.

  • Non-Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Family home or "family residence" means the location or portion of a location where the applicant and his or her family reside, and may include basements and attics. It does not include other structures that are separate from the home but are considered part of the overall premises, such as adjacent apartments, unattached basements in multi-unit buildings, unattached garages, and other unattached buildings.

  • Family child care home means a private home in which 1 but fewer than 7 minor children are received for care and supervision for compensation for periods of less than 24 hours a day, unattended by a parent or legal guardian, except children related to an adult member of the household by blood, marriage, or adoption. Family child care home includes a home in which care is given to an unrelated minor child for more than 4 weeks during a calendar year. A family child care home does not include an individual providing babysitting services for another individual. As used in this subparagraph, "providing babysitting services" means caring for a child on behalf of the child's parent or guardian if the annual compensation for providing those services does not equal or exceed $600.00 or an amount that would according to the internal revenue code of 1986 obligate the child's parent or guardian to provide a form 1099-MISC to the individual for compensation paid during the calendar year for those services.

  • Adoptive home means the place of residence of any natural person in which a child resides as a

  • Family Members means, as to a Person that is an individual, such Person’s spouse, ancestors, descendants (whether by blood or by adoption or step-descendants by marriage), brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and inter vivos or testamentary trusts (whether revocable or irrevocable) of which only such Person and his or her spouse, ancestors, descendants (whether by blood or by adoption or step-descendants by marriage), brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews are beneficiaries.

  • Family Company means a company that is owned directly or indirectly by or for two or more natural persons who are related as siblings or spouse (including former spouses), or direct lineal descendants by birth or adoption, spouses of such persons, the estates of such persons, or foundations, charitable organizations or trusts established for the benefit of such persons. For purposes of determining the amount of investments owned by a company, there may be included investments owned by majority-owned subsidiaries of the company and investments owned by a company (“Parent Company”) of which the company is a majority-owned subsidiary, or by a majority-owned subsidiary of the company and other majority-owned subsidiaries of the Parent Company. In determining whether a natural person is a qualified purchaser, there may be included in the amount of such person’s investments any investment held jointly with such person’s spouse, or investments in which such person shares with such person’s spouse a community property or similar shared ownership interest. In determining whether spouses who are making a joint investment in the Partnership are qualified purchasers, there may be included in the amount of each spouse’s investments any investments owned by the other spouse (whether or not such investments are held jointly). There shall be deducted from the amount of any such investments any amounts specified by paragraph 2(a) of Annex 2 incurred by such spouse. In determining whether a natural person is a qualified purchaser, there may be included in the amount of such person’s investments any investments held in an individual retirement account or similar account the investments of which are directed by and held for the benefit of such person.   • Participating Marriage and Family Therapist means a Marriage and Family Therapist who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Family farm corporation means a corporation founded for the purpose of farming agricultural land in which the majority of the voting stock is held by and the majority of the stockholders are persons or the spouse of persons related to each other within the fourth degree of kinship, according to the rules of the civil law, and at least one of the related persons is residing on or actively operating the farm, and none of whose stockholders are a corporation. A family farm corporation does not cease to qualify under this division where, by reason of any devise, bequest, or the operation of the laws of descent or distribution, the ownership of shares of voting stock is transferred to another person, as long as that person is within the degree of kinship stipulated in this division.

  • Immediate Relatives means the spouse of a person and includes parent, sibling, and child of such person or of the spouse, any of whom is either dependent financially on such person, or consults such person in taking decisions relating to trading in Securities.

  • Multi-family housing means a building or structure that is designed to house two (2) or more different households in separate housing Units which have full kitchen facilities including oven/range, refrigerator, kitchen sink with hot and cold water supply and food storage facilities and at least one (1) full bathroom facility(s), one (1) full bedroom and one (1) living area (including a combination thereof such as studio arrangements).

  • Dependent children also means natural children, stepchildren, adopted children, children of a domestic partner, children placed for adoption and foster children.

  • Immediate Family Members means with respect to any individual, such individual’s child, stepchild, grandchild or more remote descendant, parent, stepparent, grandparent, spouse, former spouse, qualified domestic partner, sibling, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law and daughter-in-law (including adoptive relationships) and any trust, partnership or other bona fide estate-planning vehicle the only beneficiaries of which are any of the foregoing individuals or any private foundation or fund that is controlled by any of the foregoing individuals or any donor-advised fund of which any such individual is the donor.

  • Family size means the number that is determined by counting the bor- rower, the borrower’s spouse, and the borrower’s children, including unborn children who will be born during the year the borrower certifies family size, if the children receive more than half their support from the borrower. A bor- rower’s family size includes other indi- viduals if, at the time the borrower certifies family size, the other individ- uals—

  • Sole proprietorship means a form of business in which one person owns all the assets of the business, in contrast to a partnership or corporation.
