Demand Response Event definition

Demand Response Event has the meaning given in Section I paragraph 4.6 of the Interconnector Access Code;
Demand Response Event means, in respect of a Demand Response Availability Window, the remote activation of the Participant’s existing thermostat to temporarily change its set-point in order to reduce the electricity consumed by the Participant’s air conditioner during a period of peak demand on some or all of Ontario’s electricity grid, as determined by the IESO and communicated by the IESO or its Service Provider(s) to the Smart Thermostat Vendor.
Demand Response Event means a period of time during the Demand Response Season for which National Grid, upon not less than twenty (20) hours’ notice to Customer (i.e. by 10 a.m. the mornings prior to when the reduction must occur), shall indicate that Customer must curtail Customer’s consumption of natural gas in accordance with this Agreement.   • Amigo Energy may, when applicable and at its sole discretion, distribute any benefit related to a Demand Response Event to Customer.

  • For example, if the Demand Response Event occurred between 12pm-4pm on a Wednesday, then we would calculate your total consumption between 12pm-4pm across those 10 previous Business Days, and divide that number by 10 to get an average consumption for each day.

  • EnergyAustralia may also provide other notifications about a Demand Response Event including an SMS giving you advance notice of a potential Demand Response Event.

Hourly DR Program Customers will be required to curtail gas consumption for a period of four (4) hours on such date(s) that is/are designated by National Grid, beginning at 6:00 AM ET and ending at 10:00 AM ET. Demand Response Events will be called for days when National Grid forecasts the low temperature measured at either Republic Airport or LaGuardia Airport will be at or below 10 degrees Fahrenheit. If the Customer is enrolled in the Demand Response Program through an Aggregator, Demand Response Events notifications shall be sent by both said Aggregator and National Grid directly (through the designated Site Contact in the Application form) .
Demand Response Event means the period of time where you are eligible to receive a Demand Response Payment for the reduction of the electricity usage at your Premises, pursuant to a Demand Response Request. Demand Response Event means a period of time in which National Grid first notifies the customer of an upcoming Activation, at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance, and then sends a signal to a control module that automatically curtails gas-fired equipment usage during the Demand Response Activation to the conclusion of the Demand Response Activation.
