Data processing hardware definition
Data processing hardware means information technology equipment designed for the automated storage, manipulation, and re- trieval of data by electronic or mechanical means, or both, and includes, but is not limited to, central processing units, front-end processing units, including miniprocessors and microprocessors, and related peripheral equipment such as data storage devices, document scanners, data entry, terminal controllers and data terminal equipment, computer-related word processing systems, and equipment and systems for computer net- works.
