CSU means Crisis Stabilization Unit and refers to a psychiatric crisis stabilization program 37 that operates 24 hours a day that serves Orange County residents, aged 18 and older, who are 1 experiencing a psychiatric crisis and need immediate evaluation. Clients receive a thorough psychiatric 2 evaluation, crisis stabilization treatment, and referral to the appropriate level of continuing care. As a 3 designated outpatient facility, the CSU may evaluate and treat clients for no longer than 23 hours.
