Council Request definition

Council Request or “RFP” means a request made by the Council for offers or proposals to provide the sought after services as specified herein.

  • Merger or Acquisition: If, subsequent to the award of any contract resulting from the Council Request, the Contractor shall merge with or be acquired by another firm, for purposes of this Contract only, the documents set forth below must be submitted to the Executive Director for approval within thirty (30) days of completion of the merger or acquisition.

  • By submitting a proposal in response to the Council Request, the Firm warrants and represents that no person or selling agency has been employed or retained to solicit or secure the Contract upon an agreement or understanding for a commission, percentage, brokerage or contingent fee, except bona fide employees or bona fide established commercial or selling agencies maintained by the Contractor for the purpose of securing business.

  • Performance Security: If performance security is required in the Council Request, the successful Firm shall furnish performance security in such amount on any award of the Contract or line item purchase.

  • By submitting a proposal in response to the Council Request, the Contractor expressly agrees that any insurance protection required herein or by the Contract shall in no way limit the Contractor’s obligations assumed in the Contract and shall not be construed to relieve the Contractor from liability in excess of such coverage nor shall it preclude the State from taking such other actions as are available to it under other provisions of the Contract or otherwise in law or equity.

  • The estimated amount of the contract(s), when stated in the Council Request, shall not be construed as either the maximum or minimum amount which the State and/or the Council shall be obligated to order or expend as the result of the Council Request or any contract entered into as a result of the Council Request.

  • These Standard Terms and Conditions are in addition to the terms and conditions set forth in the Council Request and should be read in conjunction with same unless the Council Request specifically indicates otherwise.

  • Not withstanding any provision or language in this contract to the contrary, the Council may terminate at any time, in whole or in part, any contract entered into as a result of the Council Request for the convenience of the State, upon no less than 30 days written notice to the Contractor.

  • By submitting a proposal in response to the Council Request, the Respondent certifies and warrants that it has satisfied itself, from its own investigation, of the conditions to be met and that it fully understands its obligations and if awarded the Contract agrees that it will not make any claim for, or have right to, cancellation or relief from the Contract without penalty because of its misunderstanding or lack of information.

  • These Standard Terms and Conditions are automatically incorporated into the Contract unless the Contractor isspecifically instructed otherwise in the Council Request or in any amendment thereto.

  • Council Directive means Council Directive 89/552/EEC of 3 October 1989 on the co-ordination of certain provisions laid down by law, regulation or administrative action in Member States concerning the pursuit of television broadcasting activities as amended by Directive 97/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 June 1997 and by Directive 2007/65/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2007. A simplified and codified version of these Directives was introduced in 2010: the Audiovisual Media Services Directive 2010/13/EU.

  • National Ambient Air Quality Standards or “NAAQS” means national ambient air quality standards that are promulgated pursuant to Section 109 of the Act, 42 U.S.C. § 7409.

  • British Council Requirements means the instructions, requirements, policies, codes of conduct, guidelines, forms and other documents notified to the Supplier in writing or set out on the British Council’s website at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/new/about-us/jobs/folder_jobs/register-as-a-consultant/policies-for-consultants-and-associates/ or such other web address as may be notified to the Supplier from time to time (as such documents may be amended, updated or supplemented from time to time during the Term);

  • New Jersey Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP) Manual or “BMP Manual” means the manual maintained by the Department providing, in part, design specifications, removal rates, calculation methods, and soil testing procedures approved by the Department as being capable of contributing to the achievement of the stormwater management standards specified in this chapter. The BMP Manual is periodically amended by the Department as necessary to provide design specifications on additional best management practices and new information on already included practices reflecting the best available current information regarding the particular practice and the Department’s determination as to the ability of that best management practice to contribute to compliance with the standards contained in this chapter. Alternative stormwater management measures, removal rates, or calculation methods may be utilized, subject to any limitations specified in this chapter, provided the design engineer demonstrates to the municipality, in accordance with Section IV.F. of this ordinance and N.J.A.C. 7:8-5.2(g), that the proposed measure and its design will contribute to achievement of the design and performance standards established by this chapter.

  • Municipal Finance Management Act means the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No. 56 of 2003);

  • Best management practice (BMP means a structural device or nonstructural practice designed to temporarily store or treat stormwater runoff in order to mitigate flooding, reduce pollution, and provide other amenities.

  • Foreign Financial Regulatory Authority shall have the meaning given by Section 2(a)(50) of the 0000 Xxx.

  • Commercial use request means a re- quest from or on behalf of one who seeks information for a use or purpose that furthers the commercial, trade, or profit interests of the requester or the person on whose behalf the request is made.

  • Information Commissioner means the UK Information Commissioner and any successor;

  • Airport Authority means any city or any public or private board or other body or organization chartered or otherwise established for the purpose of administering, operating or managing airports or related facilities, which in each case is an owner, administrator, operator or manager of one or more airports or related facilities.

  • Public Finance Management Act ’ means the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999);

  • Compact commissioner means: the voting representative of each compacting state appointed pursuant to Article VIII of this compact.

  • Environmental Protection Agency or “EPA” means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Best management practice or “BMP” means structural or non-structural measures, practices, techniques or devices employed to avoid or minimize sediment or pollutants carried in runoff to waters of the state.

  • Labour Commissioner means the individual appointed as Labour Commissioner in terms of in section 120;

  • Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) means the Government Agency responsible for oversight of public procurement.

  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Virginia Stormwater Management Program authority or "VSMP authority" means an authority approved by the State Board after September 13, 2011, to operate a Virginia Stormwater Management Program.

  • Council Regulation means Council Regulation (EC) No. 2100/94 of 27th July 1994 on Community plant variety rights;

  • Relevant Electric Retail Regulatory Authority means an entity that has jurisdiction over and establishes prices and policies for competition for providers of retail electric service to end- customers, such as the city council for a municipal utility, the governing board of a cooperative utility, the state public utility commission or any other such entity.

  • Development Authority means the New Jersey Schools

  • Councillor means a member of a municipal council;

  • National Medical Support Notice or “NMSN” shall mean a notice that contains the following information:

  • Participating Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist means a Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Solvency II Directive means Directive 2009/138/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union of 25 November 2009 on the taking-up and pursuit of the business of insurance and reinsurance (Solvency II);

  • Labor law decision means an administrative merits determination, arbitral award or decision, or civil judgment, which resulted from a violation of one or more of the laws listed in the definition of “labor laws”.
