Consumer Protection Laws definition

Consumer Protection Laws means the consumer protection laws enforced by the Attorneys General under which the Attorneys General have conducted the investigation as set forth in Appendix A.
Consumer Protection Laws means any and all applicable federal, state, and local statutes, laws, regulations, rules, and ordinances (whether now existing or hereafter enacted or promulgated), and all applicable judicial, administrative, and regulatory decrees, judgments, and orders, including common law rulings and determinations, relating to consumer credit or the protection of consumers, including, but not limited to, the Consumer Credit Protection Act.
Consumer Protection Laws means, collectively, the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010, Public Law 111-203, enacted as Title X of the Xxxx-Xxxxx Xxxx Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010; the enumerated consumer Laws set forth in 12 U.S.C. Section 5481(12); the identity theft red flags provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act set forth in 15 U.S.C. Section 1681m(e); Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act set forth in 15 U.S.C. Section 45; all state and local consumer protection and unfair or deceptive trade practices Laws, and all other Laws that apply to any of the Group Company or the Mortgage JV that have the intent or effect to protect their respective consumer customers against the acts, errors or omissions of any of the Group Company or the Mortgage JV, and all licensing requirements, regulations, guidelines, policies, and guidance implementing the aforementioned Laws.

Consumer Protection Laws means, collectively, all federal and state Laws applicable to Seller Entities and the Business, that are related to the review and approval of credit applications, or the procurement, storage and disposition by the Seller Entities of background information and credit information that have the intent or effect of protecting the Seller Entities’ individual and business applicants (including current, past, prospective and rejected customers) against the acts, errors or omissions of the Seller Entities or the effect of protecting the use, retention, or disclosure, of biometric or other personal identifiable information, including, to the extent applicable, the federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, applicable regulations of the Federal Trade Commission, state laws governing the above as well as state “ban-the-box” laws, marijuana screening laws and salary history laws; and all licensing requirements and regulations implementing the aforementioned Laws.
