Consignees definition

Consignees means the person entitled to receive the goods from the Company subject to the terms of the shipment.

  • The buyer may authorise one or more officers as Consignees or Contract Operating Officers (COOs) to operate the contract on his / her behalf.

  • In the application, Merchant must identify the nature of the Goods with reasonable specificity as well as the names and addresses of the Shippers and Consignees.

  • The Consignor shall have no liability or responsibility for the operation and management of the Consignee's business, employees, staff, officers or agents or any torts or other causes of action that may result from daily operation of business, and the Consignee agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Consignor for same.

  • Termination of this Agreement shall not affect Consignee's duty to pay and perform in full its obligations to Consignor hereunder.

  • Consignor acknowledges that should the Consignee, in Consignee's sole discretion, determine that the vehicle is not safe to operate, then the vehicle will not be allowed across the block under its own power.

  • In the event of any loss described above, except for a loss during transit of Precious Metal sent by Consignor to Consignee's Principal Office by registered United States mail, Consignor shall have the right to demand that Consignee, and upon such demand Consignee shall, compensate Consignor, upon terms acceptable to Consignor, for the full amount of such loss, whether or not recovery has been made under any applicable policy.

  • Consignee means the user department of Institute to whom the goods are required to be delivered as specified in the contract. If the goods are required to be delivered to a person as an interim consignee for the purpose of despatch to another person as provided in the Contract then that “another” person is the consignee, also known as Ultimate Consignee.
