Competent Authority(ies) definition

Competent Authority(ies) means, collectively, (a) the governmental entities in each country or supranational organization that is responsible for the regulation of any Licensed Human Therapeutic Product intended for use in the Exclusive Field or the establishment, maintenance and/or protection of rights related to the Licensed IP Rights (including the FDA, the EMEA and the MHLW), or (b) any other applicable regulatory or administrative agency in any country or supranational organization that is comparable to, or a counterpart of, the foregoing.
