Compensated service definition
Compensated service means employment services rendered for which the employee is entitled to compensation as provided in this Agreement. General Holidays and Annual Vacations for which an employee is entitled to compensation as provided in this Agreement shall have the same meaning as compensated service.
e) (97) "Excluded position" means a position which is excluded from the scope of the Agreement as shown in Schedule "B" herein.
Compensated service means time paid for by the employer, or leave paid for by the Union.

For the purpose of applying the starting rate provisions of Article one month of Cumulative Compensated service shall consist of: For yard service, employees a 30-day period during which the employee works or the major portion thereof; For road service employees a 30-day period during which the employee is available for work the major portion thereof.
Compensated service does not include unpaid suspensions or out-of-service removals, worker’s compensation, paid disability or the payout of unused, accrued paid time off, such as, vacation hours at separation of employment.

Compensated service as used herein shall include time spent on sick leave, holiday, vacation or any other authorized leave for which regular, full pay is received.
