Commuting time definition

Commuting time means the time spent traveling to and from a place of residence and an employment or train­ ing site.

Commuting time means the time an employee normally spends traveling (i) from his/her home to his/her basepoint before the start of the workday, and (ii) from his/her basepoint to his/her home at the end of the workday.

Examples of Commuting time in a sentence

  • Commuting time up to a maximum of one (1) hour shall be counted as time worked when the employee is called back.

  • Commuting time shall not be considered hours worked for purposes of pay or overtime.

  • Commuting time to and from training shall be paid in accordance with the FLSA.

  • Commuting time can be used for other activities with the help of autonomous vehicles.

  • Commuting time does not qualify for remuneration, irrespective of whether such commuting time took place during overtime or during working hours.
