The CDC defines Cohorting as one of many mitigation strategies that schools can use to limit mixing between students and staff and to limit the spread of COVID.
All of the provisions in the California Department of Public Health Cohorting Guidance, issued August 24, 2020 and updated September 4, 2020, must be followed for such Cohorts to meet, whether they are operated by LEAs, non-profits, or other providers.
This training must minimally address: ● Health Attestations, ● Hand Hygiene, ● Masks & Face Coverings/Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ● Social Distancing/Physical Distancing, and ● Student Cohorting, ● What to do if an Individual Has or Develops COVID-19 Like Symptoms.
Cohorting refers to a consistent group of students that stays together for the duration of the day.
