Cognate department definition

Cognate department shall, for purposes of Articles VI, VIII and VIII-C of this Agreement, mean a department determined by the Vice President to be a department the academic discipline of which is by common practice in the academic world deemed to be related to the academic discipline of the department in question or of the library. The Vice President may determine that the library is cognate to a department.
Cognate department means an academic unit whose discipline(s) relate(s) to another academic unit.

  • Department compliance officer means an individual who is:
