Clinical Department definition

Clinical Department means an Academic Department within the School of Medicine designated as a Clinical Department (as opposed to a Basic Science Department) by the Board of Trustees. Exhibit A attached to this Plan Document states the names of all of the Clinical Departments as of the Effective Date of this Plan Document. Exhibit A may be modified from time in accordance with the definition of “Academic Department” above.
Clinical Department means one of the established Clinical Departments of the UNM School of Medicine, including but not limited to Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine, Dental Medicine, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Family & Community Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ortho- pedics & Rehabilitation, Pathology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Ra- diology, and Surgery.
Clinical Department means a department of the Faculty with which a Member has a major affiliation.

  • The recommendation for a new appointment should include information and documentation specified by the Provost (or Provost's designee) or in the case of an appointment in a School of Medicine Clinical Department, the Dean of the School of Medicine (or Dean's designee).

  • Hospital appointments of staff who will hold full-time University appointments may be made only upon the recommendation of both the Chief of the Hospital Department and the Chair of the University of Toronto Clinical Department, hereinafter referred to as “Chair”, or the Dean of a Health Faculty.

Clinical Department means (a) any one of the following eighteen academic clinical departments operated by the University School of Medicine: Anesthesiology; Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery; Emergency Medicine; Family and Geriatric Medicine; Medicine; Neurology; Neurosurgery; Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women’s Health; Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences; Orthopedics; Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery and Communicative Disorders; Pathology and Laboratory Medicine; Pediatrics; Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences; Radiation Oncology; Radiology; Surgery; and Urology; and (b) the academic clinical department associated with the University School of Dentistry.
Clinical Department means a department or section of Accredited Practitioners in like sub-specialties, as approved by the Medical Advisory Committee in accordance with By- Law 24. ."CLINICAL PRIVILEGES and DEFINING THE SCOPE OF PRACTICE" means the specificmedical services, surgical or dental procedures permitted to be undertaken by Accredited Practitioners.
