CLBs definition

CLBs means Canada Learning Bonds, being grants made by the Federal Government on behalf of all children born on or after January 1, 2004 (i) who are under the care of a public trustee and for whom a special allowance is paid under the Children’s Special Allowances Act (Canada) or (ii) whose families are eligible to receive the Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) (that includes the National Child Benefit Supplement (NCBS)) under the Tax Act. Initial CLBs of $500 are paid into the RESPs of such children starting in 2004. Additional CLBs each in the amount of $100 are paid on an annual basis for each year the Beneficiary’s Primary Caregiver (PCG) qualifies for and receives the NCBS up to and including the year in which the Beneficiary turns 15 years of age.

CLBs has the meaning provided in Part A of Annex I. CITES has the meaning provided in Part D of Annex I. Communal Land Support Activity has the meaning provided in Part D of Annex I.
