Chief of the Fire Department definition

Chief of the Fire Department means the Imperial County Fire Marshal, or such other person designated from time to time by the Board of Supervisors, having charge of, and responsibility for fire protection in the unincorporated areas of Imperial County.
Chief of the Fire Department means the head of the De Beque Fire Protection Dsitrict, or his regularly authorized deputy, or the De Beque Building Official.
