Certificated Air Carrier definition

Certificated Air Carrier means an air carrier holding an air carrier operating certificate issued by the Secretary of Transportation pursuant to Chapter 447 of Title 49 of the United States Code for aircraft capable of carrying ten or more individuals or 6,000 pounds or more of cargo or that otherwise is certified or registered to the extent required to fall within the purview of Section 1110.
Certificated Air Carrier means a United States "air carrier" within the meaning of the Federal Aviation Act, operating pursuant to a certificate issued under Section 401 of such Act, or a carrier of comparable status under any successor law or provision.
Certificated Air Carrier means a Citizen of the United States holding a carrier operating certificate issued by the Secretary of Transportation pursuant to Chapter 447 of Title 49, United States Code, for aircraft capable of carrying ten or more individuals or 6,000 pounds or more of cargo.

Certificated Air Carrier means any corporation (except the United States Government) domiciled in the United States of America and holding a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity issued under Section 41102(a) of the Federal Aviation Act by the Department of Transportation or any predecessor or successor agency thereto, or, in the event such Certificates shall no longer be issued, any corporation (except the United States Government) domiciled in the United States of America and legally engaged in the business of transporting for hire passengers or cargo by air predominantly to, from or between points within the United States of America, and, in either event, operating commercial jet aircraft, which also is a citizen of the United States (as defined in Section 40102 of the Federal Aviation Act) holding an air carrier operating certificate issued by the Secretary of Transportation pursuant to chapter 447 of the Federal Aviation Act for aircraft capable of carrying 10 or more individuals or 6,000 pounds or more of cargo so as to fall within the purview of 11 U.S.C. Section 1110 or any analogous statute.
Certificated Air Carrier means an "air carrier" within the meaning of the Transportation Code and a "citizen of the United States" within the meaning of Section 40102(a)(15) (or any successor provision) of the Transportation Code holding an "air carrier operating certificate" issued under Chapter 447 (or any successor provision) of the Transportation Code for aircraft capable of carrying ten or more individuals or 6,000 pounds or more of cargo, with each such certificate in full force and effect.

Certificated Air Carrier means a Citizen of the United States holding an air carrier operating certificate issued pursuant to Chapter 447 of Title 49 and a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity or a Commuter Air Carrier Authorization issued pursuant to Title 49 (including, without limitation Chapter 441 thereof) or any analogous successor provisions of the United States Code, for aircraft capable of carrying ten or more individuals or 6,000 pounds or more of cargo or that otherwise is certified or registered to the extent required to fall within the purview of Section 1110 of the Bankruptcy Code or any analogous successor provision of the Bankruptcy Code.
