Card Information definition

Card Information refers to all information related to a Cardholder or Card obtained by Sponsored Merchant in connection with a Transaction, including, without limitation, customer names, addresses, zip codes, card numbers, expiration dates, security codes, PIN numbers, credit limits, or account balances.

Card Information means information about a Card including the Card number, the three-digit security code on the back of the Card and the expiry date;

Card Information means the Card Number, Card expiration date, Card holder’s name and/or card validation code which is either embossed or printed on the Card issued to you.

Examples of Card Information in a sentence

• Customer shall use only Third Party Servicers that are compliant with Security Standards in connection with the storage, processing, or transmission of Card Information.

• Customer shall not request or use Card Information for any purpose except in respect of payment for its goods or services or to provide a refund for goods or services previously sold, unless required by the Payment Network Rules.

• If Customer collects, stores, uses or discloses any Card Information, Customer shall comply with the Security Standards, including but not limited to, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (“PCI DSS”) and shall provide a qualified third party certification of such compliance, when requested by 365.

• Customer agrees that: (i) it will not use the Card Information for any purpose that it knows or should know to be fraudulent or in violation of any Payment Network Rules; (ii) it will not sell, purchase, provide or exchange in any manner or disclose Card Information to anyone other than 365, Bank, any Payment Network, or in response to a government request; and (iii) it will be compliant with the Security Standards and will cooperate in a forensic investigation if so required.

More Definitions of Card Information

Card Information has the meaning provided in Section 3(g).

Card Information means information embossed or printed on the front or back of the Card and/or information stored in the Card’s magnetic stripe, chip or equivalent technology.

Card Information is defined in Section 8.02 above.

Card Information is information related to an End User or the End User’s Card, that is obtained by Customer from the End User’s Card, or from the End User in connection with his or her use of a Card (for example a security code, a PIN number, or the End User’s zip code when provided as part of an address verification system). Without limiting the foregoing, such information may include the Card account number and expiration date, the End User’s name or date of birth, PIN data, security code data (such as CVV2 and CVC2) and any data read, scanned, imprinted, or otherwise obtained from the Card, whether printed thereon, or magnetically, electronically or otherwise stored thereon.

Card Information means personally identifiable information entered by a user on a designated portion of Customer’s Site for the purpose of fulfilling a transaction or account access process and which is identified to be replaced by a token pursuant to the Edge Tokenization Module configuration defined and approved by Customer. Such information may include a user’s name, address, personal account number, credit card number, debit card number, bank account number, check number or other financial account number.

Card Information means information related to a Cardholder or the Cardholder’s Card, that is obtained by Customer from the Cardholder’s Card, or provided by the Cardholder in connection with his or her use of a Card, including, without limitation, Card account numbers and expiration dates, security codes (e.g. CVV2, CVC2, etc.), PIN numbers, credit limits, account balances, or Cardholder billing address, phone numbers, or zip codes (when provided solely as part of an identity verification system), and any data read, scanned, imprinted, or otherwise obtained from the Card, whether printed thereon, or magnetically, electronically, or otherwise stored thereon. For the avoidance of doubt, information about Cardholders which is not specific to Cardholder’s Card and which is voluntarily provided to Customer by Cardholders for purposes of shipping or delivering goods or services, Cardholder’s participation in a loyalty program, mailing list, special offers, or similar purposes (e.g., Cardholder’s name, mailing address, phone number, email address, birthdate or age), shall not be deemed Card Information.

Card Information means information embossed or printed on the front or back of the Card, including information which is stored in the Card’s magnetic stripe or chip. For this reason, the industry has agreed on a joint industry standard for processing Card Information. The standard is called Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) and is developed by inter alia Visa and MasterCard.
