Canons definition

Canons are statements of axiomatic norms, expressing in general terms the standards of professional conduct expected of peace officers in their relationship with the public, the criminal justice system, and the peace officer profession. They embody the general concepts from which the Ethical Standards and the Disciplinary Rules are derived.
Canons means the canons promulgated and approved by the General Synod relating to the ritual, ceremony, operation and discipline of the Church subject to the provisions of this Constitution;
Canons means, as appropriate to the particular context, (i) the Canons of The Episcopal Church, as amended; or (ii) the Canons of the Diocese, as amended, and “Canon” means any one of such Canons.

Canons means the Canons of the Diocese as adopted by the Synod from time to time.
