CAD/AVL definition

CAD/AVL means Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and Automated Vehicle Location (AVL) system, referred to as CAD/AVL. elements of which Contractor provided to the SFMTA as part of the SFMTA’s radio system.
CAD/AVL means the OrbStar Computer Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Location System, currently supplied to the SFMTA by Xerox/ACS

  • MV Transportation agrees to install and utilize the standard technology platform agreed to between Cary and MV Transportation, including Computer-Aided Dispatch/Automated Vehicle Locator systems (CAD/AVL), equipment for counting passenger totals, camera systems, Automated Passenger Counters (APCs), head signs, announcement systems, wi-fi routers, real-time passenger information, and communication systems between drivers and dispatch.

  • CAD/AVL log on is also integrated with the farebox, such that the drivers log on only once, via the farebox Operator Control Unit, for both Farebox and CAD/ACL.
