BLS Index definition

BLS Index means the index for January of the year in question represented by the Producer Price Index for Industrial Commodities as published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, using the year 1982 as the base index equal to 100. If, at any time, the above index should cease to be published, then another suitable index published by the U.S. Government or other authoritative organization and generally recognized by the trade as authoritative with respect to changes in the U.S. of equivalent commodity costs will be used.
BLS Index means BLS Series WPUFD4131 (PPI - Final demandFinished goods less foods and energy).
BLS Index as used with respect to a particular calendar year, shall mean the average of the monthly indices for the consecutive twelve [12] month period ending October 31 of the preceding calendar year from the "Producers Price Index of Industrial Commodities" as published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, United States Department of Labor, using the year 1982 as the base index equal to 100. If , at any time, the above index should cease to be published, then another suitable index shall be substituted upon notice by UNOCAL to NATIONAL.

More Definitions of BLS Index

BLS Index means the Producer Price Index for Finished Goods (1982=100), published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, United States Department of Labor. If the Bureau of Labor Statistics shall discontinue publication of said BLS Index or shall adopt a new method of computing the BLS Index, the parties agree to use a published price index as comparable as possible to the BLS Index prior to the change in such method.
