NPC means the VA-affiliated non-profit research, or research and education, corporation created and operated under the laws of the state identified on the cover page. The NPC’s role and obligations are set forth in this CRADA pursuant to its statutory authority under 38 U.S.C. §§ 7361-68 and VHA Handbook 1200.17.
Luxco is defined in the Preamble.
ESMP or “Environmental and Social Management Plan” means with respect to each activity under the Project pursuant to which the ESMF requires it, a plan to be prepared by the Recipient pursuant to Section I.D.1 of Schedule 2 to this Agreement, in accordance with the provisions of the ESMF and approved by the Association, setting out measures to mitigate any adverse environmental and social impacts arising from such activities; and “ESMPs” means more than one ESMP.
Newco has the meaning set forth in the first paragraph of this Agreement.
BTCo means Bankers Trust Company, in its individual capacity, and any successor corporation thereto by merger, consolidation or otherwise.
BG means Bank Guarantee
Acquireco means 2620756 Ontario Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Corporation incorporated under the OBCA for the purpose of carrying out the Amalgamation.
DPI means the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
SoftBank means SoftBank Group Corp., a Japanese kabushiki kaisha.
ABI means Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV, its domestic and foreign parents, predecessors, divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates, partnerships and joint ventures (excluding Crown, and, prior to the completion of the Transaction, Modelo); and all directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives of the foregoing. The terms “parent,” “subsidiary,” “affiliate,” and “joint venture” refer to any person in which there is majority (greater than 50 percent) or total ownership or control between the company and any other person.
CDC means Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
SPI means the information categories listed at Tex. Bus. & Com. Code § 521.002(a)(2).
PTC means the tax credit for electricity produced from certain renewable generation resources described in Section 45 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as it may be amended or supplemented from time to time.
NSC means Norfolk Southern Corporation.
Elan means Elan Corp and its Affiliates.
Novartis shall have the meaning set forth in the Preamble.
CMBI means Chase Manhattan Bank International, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank, located in Moscow, Russia, and any nominee companies appointed by it.
IPC means infection prevention and control.
CBOT means The Chicago Board of Trade, together with its successors and assigns.
UBC means the University of British Columbia.
CSDCC means the China Securities Depository and Clearing Co., Ltd. “CSRC” means the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
PDC or “Process Data Collection” means technology that allows process data to be entered into a format that can be viewed, manipulated and retrieved in the form of customized reports.
SMP : means Significant Market Power;
WCA means the Workers Compensation Act (British Columbia) and the regulations thereunder.
Cargill means Cargill, Incorporated and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, individually or in any combination;
NTC shall have the meaning set forth in the preamble to this Agreement.
