Bentonite grout definition

Bentonite grout means the mixture of no less than one and one-half pounds of commercial bentonite with sufficient clear, potable water to produce a grout weighing no less than 9.4 pounds per gallon of mixture. Non-organic, non-toxic substances may be added to improve particle distribution and pumpability. Bentonite grout may only be used in those instances where specifically approved in this Section and only as recommended by the manufacturer.
