Basic Commodities definition
Basic Commodities means items purchased and/or made available by the USDA for shipment directly to the Contractor for delivery as ordered by Recipient Agencies and other designated receiving sites. Although the USDA makes available approximately eighty (80) basic commodities, only about thirty-five (35) are made available at any one time. Basic commodities are made available in the following two (2) groups:
