B language definition

B language means the translation has been done into the translator’s second language (L2). Since they infer this specific communicative activity (i.e, translation), they are not synonymous with L1 and L2. Please refer to Chapter 1 Introduction, section 1.2, as well as Appendix A, for further explication of terminology and abbreviations.
