AUTO COURT definition

AUTO COURT means a group of furnished rooms or separate buildings providing sleeping and parking accommodation for transient tourist trade and commonly known as tourist cabins, motor courts or motels, as distinguished from furnished rooms in an existing residential building.

AUTO COURT means an access way that is privately owned and maintained, that is designed to accommodate vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles within the same circulation space. An auto court is not a through facility; it ends in a “court” or courtyard area used for garage access and other activities of the residents. AUTO COURT means a building or group of buildings, detached or semidetached, containing rooms or apartments having automotive parking or storage space provided directly or in close proximity thereto, where such building or group of buildings is designated, intended, or used primarily for the providing of sleeping accommodations for automobile travelers.
