Authorized medical physics expert definition

Authorized medical physics expert means a person, authorized by the competent authority, who has the required knowledge in the field of physics or ionising radiation technology used in medicine (hereinafter: field of medical physics) and who is qualified to give advice on optimisation, measurement and assessment of patient’s exposure, and on development, planning and use of radiological procedures and equipment, and on quality assurance and quality control of radiological procedures.

  • Authorized medical physicist means an individual who:

A specialist physician may provide specialized treatment for the compensable injury or illness and give advice or an opinion regarding the treatment being rendered, or considered, for a patient’s compensable injury.

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.

  • Medical Review Officer (MRO) means a licensed physician responsible for receiving and reviewing laboratory results generated by the school district’s drug testing program and for evaluating medical explanations for certain drug tests.
